Life is a journey.
This reminds me of the one amazing and very wonderful sermon we had last Sunday, where we were reminded that God usually takes someone from one point, get them through a trans-formative phase and finally bring them to their destiny.
He will first take you from somewhere, from that particular point you are,and get you through the trans-formative process with the pure purpose of preparing you and furnishing you ready for the great things awaiting in your destiny. He would take you from that drug addiction, poverty, sickness and whatever situation that the Devil has subjected you to,and then He will put you through a trans-formative journey.
This trans formative phase will have you confused at some points,as the road may not look as heading to the destiny God has already promised you. This phase can be rough and with a lot of challenges and discouragement as the world will have no idea what God is doing in your life.Do not be discouraged.Do not blame them, the world doesn’t have an idea on how God works,it just doesn’t get the mechanism.
Joseph in the Bible had to go through a lot before He become the Prime Minister,it was not one easy journey. The bible tells us he was even jailed at some point, tested through the wife of His boss and the list goes on(Genesis 39:20).But what did He do?He stood firm, focusing on the person God was developing in Him.
That is all we need to do too.It doesn’t matter what the World is showing us or how the road doesn’t look as straight as we expected it to be,that is not a problem for we are going to stand firm waiting for this phase to pass obediently knowing that the Lord is using these circumstances and trials to set us ready for our great destiny, and once we are there, all of these will be history!
When you are in this phase, you only have to focus on you,and the person in you that God is developing.Imagine how the workmen sculpt the sculpture,it is a piece of tree/bronze or any other material they use yes,the destiny for it is a very beautiful look, worthy a million dollar, but what does it have to go through first?being sculptured!
Stay there, let the Ultimate workman sculpt you to a beautiful thing He intends you to become.
Please do not try to run away, and I am telling this to myself too. Please do not try to find a short cut to your beautiful destiny.Let the Lord take you there as He has already intended do.A great destiny has been guaranteed,(Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[i] have been called according to his purpose.),So you have to endure the pain of this trans-formative phase. It will come to pass.
Be open to learning as much as you can, this is a time to learn, learn from each and every circumstance that the Lord is taking you through. You must question yourself what each day in your life has for you to learn and ask the Lord to help you learn from it.Ask the Holy Spirit who is our helper to help you understand what God has intended you to learn. You also have to listen to God when he speaks,(God speaks in many ways, one of them is through His Servants such as our Church leaders and others He has kept in front of us for us to follow.God also speaks to people as individuals,if You want God to talk with you, choose to obey Him,let Him know you want to obey Him with all your heart and ask Him to speak to you .He will find a way to communicate with you in a manner you would clearly understand).
Also, read His word, pray and all will be well.Tend to ask God what does He has for you and you will be in the right track.
I am in a journey too.I have not reached the Destiny that God has for me yet but I know I will eventually get THERE.
